Welcome to the Bosca Accessories Website,
As the 1800's ended a young Italian man named Hugo Bosca was being
trained in the art of leatherwork. He came to America in the early
1900's and made his living with those skills. He founded the company
that would grow to become Bosca Accessories in Leather.
Hugo was indoctrinated in the art of leatherwork before he was even in
his teens. It must have become part of his DNA. I grew up
with my father Mario, and his brother Orsino. They ran the company
from 1950 through most of the 1980's. My childhood weekends were
spent in the factory playing with leather scraps and machines of the trade.
The art of leather seeped into my blood and DNA as well.
Mario and Orsino loved beautiful things. They saw the potential
of an abandoned building with a beautiful facade, saw options in poorly
designed spaces, and saw how to make the intrinsic beauty of a thing shine
through. An example of this is Old Leather. Mario discovered
this leather in a trash bin at a small tannery. An experiment considered
"failed" by the tanner caught his eye. With further development
this became one of the longest running and most important leathers in
the history of the company.
It was Mario and Orsino's life's work to uphold the stature of the Bosca
brand, and the quality of each product that the company offered.
Today we continue that tradition. It starts with using the best
materials. Generally this means working with small, special Italian
tanneries. In the Tuscan countryside the ethic of work being "artisianale"
is still alive. In this part of the world one puts their entire
soul into their life's work. Combine this with a twist on an old
idea, a new way to make an old style shine anew ... Life is a work of
art if you live consciously.
Like you our own lives are complicated, and time is pressed. Our
designs accommodate all of the features that reality in 2005 demands.
Our values, however, remain rooted in the ideal of a slower pace, a minute
attention to details, and a belief that the best things in life get better
with use. Our designs change constantly, but the basic nature of
the product is always the same- it is something that both reflects your
personality, and also takes on some of your personality through use.

and gloves, all of Italian manufacture. Every Bosca product

designs are fresh and new; some is classic and traditional. We feel
